Returning in the heat of the moment for Act III of the ambiance series , Summer Ambiance . No Meanjin summer is complete without the tussle between heat and storm . For this exploratory ambient phase , we explore these dynamics between heat and storm , thunder and lightning and sweat and cool .
Summer , comparative to its seasonal counterpart , enlivens and humanises . Sweat is this equalising factor of summer— it reminds us all of our humanity in the most tangible way . It reminds us that no matter your class , lifeway or status , we as humans are beholden to the world around us and its seasonal manifestations . So let us manifest . Let us manifest our collective humanity in the arms of rain and humidity . Let us manifest our collective humanity in the arms of rain and humidity . Let us , through 13 voyagers of sound draw out the cicadas , the stickiness and the symphonies of this season for this outdoor Ambiance edition .

Summer Ambiance comes together on stolen land . We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land , the Ugurapul , Quandamooka , Yuggera and Turrbal peoples of this land .
Music , stories and histories have been shared and exchanged on this land for millennia . In the spirit of storytelling we share our temporalities , knowing tha t much has been shared before our time on land that always was and always will be Aboriginal land .
The venue is wheelchair accessible . For further accessibility queries or concerns , please email polyharmonyy@ gmail . com .
